Terms of service

These terms explain how you may use Jumaha and how purchases from our store are handled. “Jumaha”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean JUMAHA GROUP LTD, company number 17454606, registered in England and Wales. Our store uses Shopify's commerce platform, but your purchase contract is with us.

Read these terms with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Money-Back Guarantee and any product-specific terms shown before purchase. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights.

1. Using the store and your account

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase contract. An adult responsible for a minor must supervise and authorise any permitted use by that minor. Provide accurate, current contact, payment and delivery details, and update them when necessary.

Keep account credentials secure and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for authorised activity through your account. Do not sell, transfer or license your account to another person.

2. Product information

We take care to describe our products and show their appearance accurately. Colours may vary with your screen and settings. Check the stated specifications, compatibility, included items and any app or connection requirements before ordering. Products must still conform to their description and the standards required by consumer law.

We may update a listing, discontinue a product or apply reasonable quantity or destination limits. Such changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted order without a lawful basis or your agreement.

3. Placing and accepting orders

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. Acceptance takes place when we confirm that we accept the order after receiving and processing payment; an automatic acknowledgement of receipt alone is not acceptance unless it expressly says otherwise.

We may decline an order for a legitimate reason, including unavailable stock, a material pricing error, suspected fraud or a delivery restriction. We will contact you using the details supplied and refund a payment if we cannot fulfil the order. Check your order carefully and contact us promptly about a mistake or cancellation request. An order already being prepared or dispatched may not be amendable, but applicable cancellation and return rights remain.

Products are offered for personal or household use. Purchases for commercial resale or export require our prior agreement. Returns and exchanges are handled under our return policy and applicable law.

4. Prices, promotions and payment

The applicable product price and the total charged are shown before you complete checkout and in your order confirmation. Taxes included in the displayed price are identified where applicable. Delivery charges and any tax collected at checkout are shown before payment. Separate destination-country import charges may apply as explained in our shipping policy.

Prices and promotions can change for future purchases. A promotion may have additional conditions; those conditions govern the offer where they differ from these general terms. Prices may differ from another retailer's prices.

Use a payment method you are authorised to use and provide complete, accurate billing information. You agree to pay the total you approve at checkout. We do not retrospectively increase the price of an accepted order without your agreement.

5. Dispatch and delivery

Our shipping policy sets out the usual 24-business-hour processing period, the possible extension to 48 business hours during exceptional demand, transit estimates, tracking and charges. Estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates unless we expressly agree a deadline.

We will help investigate a delayed or missing parcel. For consumer purchases, goods normally remain at our risk until received by you or your nominated recipient, subject to a lawful exception where you independently appoint a carrier. Your delivery and cancellation rights under applicable law are preserved.

6. Intellectual property

The store's original text, branding, graphics, images, video, audio and layout belong to us or the relevant rights holders. You may use the site for lawful personal shopping and keep copies needed for your records. Commercial reproduction, redistribution, adaptation or exploitation of protected content requires appropriate permission. No ownership or general licence is transferred by using the website.

Jumaha names and branding may not be used in a way that suggests our approval without consent. Shopify and other third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners.

7. Optional third-party tools

Some features may be provided by independent suppliers. Review the supplier's terms before choosing to use an optional tool. We do not control every third-party service or promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Any limitation of our responsibility is subject to applicable law and does not excuse our own obligations to you.

New store features may be subject to these terms and any additional conditions clearly presented for that feature.

8. External websites

A link to another website does not mean that we control its content, products or policies. Review the other operator's terms and privacy information before using its services. Questions about a transaction made directly with another operator should be addressed to that operator; this does not affect our responsibility for goods bought from Jumaha.

9. Our relationship with Shopify

Shopify supplies the platform that enables this store to operate. JUMAHA GROUP LTD, rather than Shopify, is the seller of the goods you buy from Jumaha and your first point of contact for an order, return or product issue. Shopify's separate services are subject to its own applicable terms. This allocation of roles does not exclude any right or liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

10. Personal information

Our privacy policy explains how personal data is handled when you browse, purchase or contact us. Shopify and service providers also process information needed to run the store, payments and fulfilment. Some processing takes place outside your country, with the protections described in the privacy policy. Read Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy for its own activities.

11. Reviews and other submissions

When you choose to send a review, suggestion or other material for use by the store, you confirm that you have the rights needed to share it, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that any incentive is disclosed. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, display and distribute that submission for operating, improving and promoting the store. Privacy law and any rights that cannot be waived continue to apply.

Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, abusive or infringing material, malware, or content that falsely represents its author. We may moderate or remove submissions that breach these rules. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, a voluntary submission does not create a right to payment, confidentiality or a response. Customer support messages and personal data remain subject to our privacy obligations.

12. Mistakes and corrections

We may correct typographical errors or inaccurate information about specifications, prices, promotions, availability or delivery. If a material mistake affects your order, we will explain the issue and the available options. We may cancel where legally permitted and refund any amount due; correcting a listing does not permit us to disregard an accepted contract or mandatory rights.

13. Acceptable use

Use the store lawfully. Do not impersonate someone else, provide fraudulent details, infringe rights, harass others, send unsolicited advertising, introduce malicious software, collect another person's personal information without a lawful basis, or disrupt the store's operation. Do not bypass security controls or access restrictions.

You may not copy, extract or commercially exploit the service in an unauthorised way. Automated access is subject to the following section and any permission we grant. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or protect the service, without removing rights relating to a valid purchase.

14. Automated agents

Software acting autonomously or semi-autonomously for a user must identify itself as an agent, including its name in HTTP/HTTPS requests using an “Agent/[agent name]” user-agent identifier. It must answer questions about automated operation truthfully and must not disguise that operation, imitate a human to defeat detection, bypass CAPTCHAs or evade technical access limits.

We may limit automated access or ask an agent to stop. An agent must comply with such restrictions. These conditions do not themselves authorise a purchase, payment or disclosure on behalf of another person.

15. Ending access

We may suspend or end access for a material breach, unlawful activity or another legitimate reason, subject to applicable law and any required notice. Amounts properly due remain payable. Ending access does not cancel a refund or other consumer remedy that is already owed.

Provisions that are intended to continue, including intellectual property, submissions, privacy, liability and dispute terms, survive to the extent necessary and legally enforceable.

16. Website availability and warranties

We aim to keep the store useful and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every technical function will be error-free. General website information is not a substitute for product instructions or individual professional advice where needed.

Any “as available” limitation relates only to matters the law permits us to limit. It does not override an advertised product warranty, our 60-day guarantee, required standards of quality or fitness, or other statutory rights. See Warranty & Product Support for manufacturing-defect assistance.

17. Liability

We remain responsible where the law makes us responsible. We do not exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from a breach or for business losses arising from goods supplied for personal use, including lost business profits or opportunities. We do not exclude our responsibility merely because a problem involves a fulfilment partner, carrier or platform. Use products safely and follow their instructions.

18. Third-party claims caused by misuse

To the extent lawful and reasonable, you are responsible for a third-party claim and reasonable resulting costs directly caused by your unlawful use of the service, infringement of another person's rights or material breach of these terms. This does not make you responsible for our own fault or impose a disproportionate obligation on a consumer.

We will notify you of a relevant claim, allow reasonable cooperation and consultation, and will not agree a settlement imposing non-monetary obligations on you without your consent. Any arrangement remains subject to applicable law.

19. If part of these terms cannot apply

If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it is limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions continue where they can operate fairly and lawfully.

20. The agreement and enforcement

These terms, the policies they incorporate and the information forming your purchase contract explain the agreement between us. They do not exclude a statement or right that the law requires us to honour. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that the right is waived. Contract wording is interpreted under the rules that legally apply.

21. Transferring obligations

You may not transfer your contractual obligations to someone else without our agreement, except where the law allows it. We may transfer our rights or obligations to another organisation only without reducing your rights or protections, and will give any notice required by law.

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales may hear disputes, but this does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or the right to bring proceedings in another court available under the law of their usual residence. Contact us first if there is a problem so we can try to resolve it.

23. Headings

Headings are provided to make the terms easier to navigate. They do not change the meaning of the provisions beneath them.

24. Updates

We may revise these terms for future use of the store and show the updated version here. Material changes are notified where required by law. The terms applicable when an order is accepted continue to govern that order unless a lawful change is agreed. Continued use of a feature is subject to the applicable terms, without removing mandatory rights.
